We believe that universal access to good food is integral to the vitality of all communities. Good food doesn’t just nourish bodies and minds, it can spur new investment into our neighborhoods and prove once and for all that food deserts don’t have to exist if we let imagination and innovation prevail. If there was ever a time to prioritize access - and action - it is now. 

As a social enterprise of HOTEL INC, The Delafield Co-Op Market is a (small) micro- nonprofit market, located in the West End of Bowling Green in the historic Delafield neighborhood.  Delafield, was an area that lacked ready access to nutritious and affordable food. In some ways, innovative: a co-op principled, mission-forward healthy food store, built to scale and intentionally focused on low-income, low-access neighborhoods. Yet in many ways it is a return to basics: fresh food + recipe kits + pantry essentials, with a commitment to community engagement and empowerment. A convenient third place - welcoming, and responsive, and nice, to one and all. 

Together we can build a equitable, just, and sustainable food economy. Let’s eat well and eat local!
